When I watch her work with her athletes it inspires me to reach my own potential. A true leader like Coach Smith will do whatever it takes to get her athletes to exceed expectations. It is a true honor to be able to witness a team led by a coach who exemplifies integrity, passion, and dedication.

My name is Janarria Sanford, I started working with Coach Smith my 10th grade year in high school. When I first started with her she knew I had potential to be great. Throughout the year I was always very aggressive and played hard but lacked skill work. Within the 3 years I was playing basketball with her she developed my basketball IQ as a whole along with creating me a shot! I didn’t really know how to shoot the ball and honestly only saw myself as a defensive player but she told me I would be contributing to the team on both sides. Within the 2 years we worked together I went from averaging little to 4-5 pts a game to at least averaging 8-10pts a game! And I can thank that all to Coach smith! She takes her time and give you all her undivided attention no matter what!

I'm speaking in regards to Coach Michelle Smith. I've known her since 2016 when she was the Head Coach for girls basketball at SLAM Charter School. Michelle is truly extraordinary when it comes to the mental and physical well-being of her students! I've witnessed her single handedly motivate a first year team to State with nothing but love and determination to make those young women better through true love and mentorship, which she openly does for both boys as well as girls basketball! She's an immensely competitive strength and conditioning coach with various trainings to make your child(ren) play with a multi-dimensional skills etc. Because of the person she is to everyone she meets, I happily recommend Michelle to train and mentor any and every child! Our biggest concern as parents is that our kids aren't being used for personal gain, and with Michelle, you'll never have to worry about that!
